What

Help Lapidary Foundation chart its growth journey over the next 6 months to 5 years by developing a comprehensive operational strategy covering programs, partnerships, fundraising, and more.

Why

A clear, phased plan will allow them to scale its flagship LAW Accelerator Program, expand its partnerships, and increase access to career-building legal opportunities, especially for students in conflict-prone areas like Kashmir.

About the Organisation

Lapidary Foundation (LF) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to identifying and supporting young law students, especially from conflict-prone or underserved regions, through its flagship LAW Accelerator Program. The Foundation focuses not just on technical training, but also on life skills such as legal research, emotional intelligence, and communication.

With partnerships spanning law firms, legal organisations, and academic institutions, LF works to create equitable opportunities and reshape the legal education landscape for those often left out of it.

What You’ll Work On

  • Phased Visioning: Define objectives, milestones, and KPIs for the short (6-month), intermediate (3-year), and long-term (5-year) phases.

  • Value Chain Analysis: Review target audiences (students, firms, donors), program offerings, impact metrics, and fundraising levers to identify growth opportunities.

  • Fundraising Strategy: Propose diversified revenue streams – grants, corporate sponsors, alumni networks – and outline systems for donor engagement and stewardship.

  • Partnership Roadmap: Recommend approaches for deepening ties with law firms, companies, LPOs, and academic partners, including roles, shared-value propositions, and outreach plans.

  • Implementation & Monitoring: Suggest tools and processes for tracking progress, evaluating impact, and iterating the plan over time.

You’ll collaborate with the founding team to align on goals, tone, and priorities, while bringing in your own expertise to shape the plan.

What’s Already in Place

  • A running cohort-based LAW Accelerator Program

  • Early partnerships with iProbono and six law schools in Kashmir

  • Internship commitments from select firms and organisations

  • Strong program intent and curriculum framework

How This Will Help

By helping LAW Foundation build a phased, goal-oriented operational strategy, your work will enable more law students – particularly those from underrepresented and high-conflict regions – to gain access to real legal exposure, professional training, and networks. The plan will also support LF in growing its donor base and institutional credibility.

What the Final Output Could Look Like

  • A documented operational plan with short, medium, and long-term strategies

  • Stakeholder engagement and partnership blueprint

  • Recommendations for fundraising and sustainable program scaling

  • KPIs and tools for tracking organisational progress
