  • Hear From Our Volunteers

"Skilled volunteering is a win-win. You get to use your professional skills to build something meaningful, speak about it proudly, and actually see the impact it creates. And at the same time, you're helping an NGO that might not otherwise have access to that kind of support.”

    Sarthak Arora

    Data Analytics Specialist, SAP

  • Hear From Our Volunteers

“What stood out to me was how structured the whole experience was – it wasn’t just ad-hoc help. There were kick-offs, timelines, proper workflows. That structure made the work feel professional and intentional, even though it was pro bono.”

    Chinmay Rajhans

    Manager, MSD Ex- ZS Consultant

  • Hear From Our Volunteers

“I wanted to have a material impact, something beyond just volunteering a few hours every weekend. With WeDoGood, I found a platform to use my skills and what I've learned in my profession to help NGOs, understand their challenges, and apply my expertise to help them build impact.”

    Siddhant Nair

    Management Consultant, Accenture

  • Hear From Our Volunteers

“In my day job, I rarely get to see the impact of what I build. But with my first project at WeDoGood, I could actually see how the module i built would help kids learn better. That’s what pushed me to take up even more projects along the way.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is skilled volunteering and how is it different from other kinds of volunteering?

Skilled volunteering is when you use your professional skills — like design, writing, marketing, finance, HR, tech, etc. — to help a nonprofit or under-resourced org solve a specific challenge. It’s about using what you already know to create real impact.

What kinds of projects do you offer for skilled volunteering?

We offer projects where nonprofits need expert help — things like creating a marketing strategy or design a program, or help them to scale their operations better. You solve real problems that under-resourced orgs do not have the capacity to solve.

How much time do I need to give for a project?

Most projects need around 2-4 hours of your time per week across 2-4 weeks. While for mentorship calls you can even volunteer for 1-4 hours.

Can I volunteer if I only have a few hours to spare?

Yes! We also offer mentoring calls — one-time 1–2 hour sessions where you help a nonprofit with advice or guidance on a specific topic. If you don’t have time for a full project, mentoring is a great way to contribute.

Can I pick a project based on the skills I want to use or improve?

Yes. We show you a list of open projects based on your skills. You can choose what interests you most — whether it’s something you're confident in, or an area you want more hands-on experience in.

What happens if I get stuck during a project or need support?

We’re here for you. If you’re unsure how to move forward, facing delays, or something feels off — you can reach out to the WeDoGood team anytime. We’ll help unblock things, talk to the nonprofit, or support you in any way needed

Will I be working alone or with a team on the project?

Most mentorship calls are solo, but sometimes we do team you up — especially if it is project based or the project needs multiple skills. If you prefer one over the other, you can tell us and we’ll keep that in mind

Do I get to talk to the nonprofit directly or is everything through WeDoGood?

You’ll work directly with the nonprofit or organisation. But WeDoGood stays in the loop to make sure things go smoothly and you're supported throughout.

Can I add this experience to my CV or LinkedIn?

Absolutely. You can talk about your volunteering experience on LinkedIn, in your portfolio, or your resume — especially if the project helped you build new skills.

Is this all online or do I need to travel?

It’s all online. Projects and mentoring calls are done completely online. But you can visit the organisation - if you’d like to.
